BOARD-LEVEL & MICRO-SOLDERING

The fault is one component. We find it and replace that.

Most boards that get written off as dead have a single failed component behind the symptom — a shorted IC, a cracked joint, a blown fuse trace. We trace it under magnification and repair at the component level instead of the assembly level.

WHAT WE HANDLE

Component-level repair, not a guess and a swap

Every job starts on the bench under magnification, tracing the fault to the actual component before anything gets touched.

IC & chip-level replacement

Removal and replacement of individual integrated circuits, controllers, and power-management ICs using hot-air rework, with reflow profiles matched to the component.

BGA reballing & reflow

Ball-grid-array components are reballed and reflowed in place when a joint has cracked, rather than replacing the whole board around a working chip.

Connector & port rework

Board-mounted connectors, headers, and charging ports are desoldered and replaced flush to the pad, holding the original footprint.

Trace & pad repair

Lifted pads and broken copper traces are rebuilt with jumper wire and conformal coating so the repair holds under vibration.

Short & liquid damage diagnosis

Thermal imaging and current-limited power to isolate a dead short to the individual component before any board is opened up.

Failure analysis reporting

If a board isn't economical to repair, you get a written explanation of what failed and why — useful for warranty claims or replacement decisions.

FAQ

Questions we hear on this one

If yours isn't covered here, send us the symptom and we'll answer directly.

What kind of boards do you work on?

Logic boards, control boards, and PCBAs across consumer, automotive, industrial, marine, and medical/dental equipment. If it has a microcontroller and a symptom that looks board-level, send us the details.

How do you know it's a component fault and not something else?

Every job starts with a visual inspection under magnification, then targeted electrical testing — continuity, resistance to ground, thermal imaging under load. We don't quote a repair until we've isolated the actual fault.

What if the board can't be repaired?

You get a written explanation of what we found, at no charge beyond the diagnostic fee, so you can make an informed call on replacement instead.

Do repairs come with a warranty?

Yes — every board-level repair carries a workmanship warranty covering the specific joints and components we touched.

Send us the symptom and the model.

We'll tell you whether it's a board-level fix and what it'll take, before anything ships.
