MARINE & OUTBOARD ECU

Salt, moisture, and vibration fail one component at a time.

Marine ECUs rarely die all at once — corrosion creeps along a trace or a connector pin until one circuit path fails. We trace it to that point and repair it, instead of writing off the whole module.

WHAT WE HANDLE

Component-level repair, not a guess and a swap

Every job starts on the bench under magnification, tracing the fault to the actual component before anything gets touched.

Outboard engine control modules

Component-level repair of the ECUs that manage ignition timing, fuel injection, and engine monitoring on outboard motors.

Corrosion & moisture-ingress repair

Boards affected by salt air or water intrusion cleaned and inspected under magnification, with damaged traces and pads rebuilt individually.

Gauge & display module repair

Dead or erratic marine instrument displays repaired at the board level rather than replaced as a full assembly.

Connector & sealed-housing rework

Board-mounted connectors rebuilt to restore a watertight, reliable connection point matching the original housing seal.

Trim & tilt control boards

Control circuitry for trim and tilt systems diagnosed and repaired where the fault sits on the board rather than in the actuator.

Off-season repair scheduling

Off-season turnaround means your equipment is ready before the water opens, not queued up once everyone else needs the same part.

FAQ

Questions we hear on this one

If yours isn't covered here, send us the symptom and we'll answer directly.

Can you fix a board with visible salt corrosion?

In many cases, yes — corrosion damage is usually localized to specific traces or pads, which we can isolate and rebuild. We'll tell you plainly if it's too far gone to be worth repairing.

Do you work on inboard and stern-drive control modules too?

Yes, alongside outboard ECUs — send the module and the symptom and we'll assess it regardless of engine configuration.

Is there a warranty on marine board repairs?

Yes, every repair carries a workmanship warranty on the components and joints we touched.

How should I ship a module that's been exposed to water?

Rinse with fresh water if the ECU is still wet from a saltwater exposure, dry it fully, and ship it as soon as possible — corrosion continues to spread the longer a wet board sits. Call us for shipping guidance on urgent cases.

Send us the symptom and the model.

We'll tell you whether it's a board-level fix and what it'll take, before anything ships.
